Thank you for visiting the Women's Ministry page. We have designed studies, programs, and events with your needs in mind. Your heart will be inspired, your life enriched, and your relationships strengthened. We want you to experience the activity of the Lord in your life, and be a part of the great days ahead that He has planned for us. There is a place for you at FBC!
LADIES' BIBLE STUDY
The Ladies' Bible Study meets on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the fall and spring. Typically we do a 8-12 week study that involves weekly preparation and a discussion of the week's study followed by a DVD/VCR presentation. We enjoy Bible Studies by Beth Moore and others. For more information, contact Lola Williams at 675-1720.
WOMEN ON MISSION
Women on Mission has an active calendar of events planned for this year. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 where we gather together to hear missionary speakers or work on various service projects. Very soon, a listing of these projects, dates and times, can be found under the Mission Group. For more information, contact Alice Hancock, 254-694-6983.
WOMEN'S PROJECTS AND SEWING
On the second Monday of each month, we get together at 9:30 a.m. to work on various projects which will benefit our church and community. Tablecloths for our Fellowship Hall, hot pads for the FBC kitchen as well as items for our nursing homes such as lap robes, bibs, sweatshirt jackets, neck and arm pillows and bags to hang over walkers are just a few of our past projects. We also collect clothing from the local nursing homes and do whatever sewing repairs are needed by the residents - mending tears, sewing buttons, etc. We also have some women who bring their personal crafts (crocheting, knitting, etc) to the meetings for the enjoyment of the fellowship! For more information, contact Nancy Cone at 675-3218.
Each spring we have a Ladies' Retreat. Typically this is held at Latham Springs Baptist Encampment. The retreat begins with dinner on Friday evening and ends mid-afternoon on Saturday.
